Heavy metal vibe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the Dover docks one night in the middle of a barroom fight,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I heard a man call out, \u201cIt\u2019s people like you bringin\u2019 this country down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And wanting to hear more, I took a step inside the door;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And an angry man, bigger than most, slowly turned around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was an element of danger as I looked at the stranger;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said, \u201cI\u2019m mad as hell, but I can tell this day may turn out right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CHORUS:&nbsp;&nbsp; <em>Motorcycles were his lovers, he didn\u2019t have no room for others;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>And if I\u2019d had just a little more time, I woulda climbed on right behind,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>To watch the ripple of the blue tattoos on the back of his hands.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was kind of a one-shot deal, it was cold, but it was real;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Losin\u2019 track of time I lost him on that foggy channel crossing,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lost the ripple of the blue tattoos on the back of his hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CHORUS<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Loosely based on an encounter in Dover in 1978.
